Consecutive is ideal for smaller round table meetings, factory visits, conference calls, interviews, etc., where only 2 languages are spoken. It can be adapted to your needs and it requires no equipment. The interpreter will summarise into the other language when the speaker has finished.

Another technique for interpreting is "facilitating", where the interpreter will stay with the delegate(s) and translates to him/her what is being said. This works well if the meeting is held in one main language with only one or two delegates who do not speak that language.
